On the menu today: my world famous turkey black bean chili (previously frozen), a Mediterranean Diet friendly cornbread, and a cabbage, radish and cucumber salad.

For the cabbage salad: toss about 6 cups of shredded cabbage with the juice of 1 lemon, 3 tbsp olive oil, salt and pepper. Refrigerate for a couple hours until cabbage has softened, tossing once or twice. Add sliced radishes, cucumber and chopped cilantro before serving and sprinkle with sumac.
